1989年福建师范大学生物科学专业毕业，获理学学士学位；1992年福建师范大学动物学专业毕业，获理学硕士学位；2007年厦门大学动物学专业毕业，获理学博士学位。1992年至今，先后任福建师范大学助教、讲师、副教授、教授，从事动物学教学与科研，从事文昌鱼及两栖爬行动物的形态、分类、细胞学及免疫组织化学等研究。2010-2011年在台湾细胞与个体生物学研究所进行博士后研究。在文昌鱼的形态分类、尤其是文昌鱼的人工饲养繁育方面有较深入的研究，首次在实验室获得文昌鱼子二代。主持或参加863子课题、国家自然科学基金、省自然科学基金、省教育厅等多个项目的研究工作。 近年来主要论文： Lu Chen, Qiu-Jin Zhang, Wei Wang, Yi-Quan Wang.
